A concerns was raised with the Patient Safety Group about an incident involving Metronidazole 0.75% Gel.
The patient was prescribed and dispensed Rozex a formulation of Metronidazole 0.75% Gel indicated for rosacea, rather than the intended metronidazole 0.75% (vaginal).
In response to this incident the Patient Safety Group has developed a resource to support learning and highlights best practice.
