‘Focus on Methadone’ is the second video in the ‘Focus on…’ series, created by the Community Pharmacy Patient Safety Group (CPPSG).
This video was made as part of the CPPSG’s 2025 workplan and in it, Jackie Giltrow, Chair of the CPPSG and Martin Sadr-Kazemi, Vice Chair, discuss methadone from a patient safety point of view.
Their discussion covers key points including ‘handout’, ‘client attendance’ and ‘take home doses’ to help improve the care of clients accessing methadone through an opioid treatment programme.
